I am BEGGING for them to sign Lowe. I think he has ALWAYS been underrated. Sheets injuries make me nervous but if you give him incentives based on ip and starts and such we may be fine. I think hansen needs another year. If we get smoltx back I would be happy with just signing lowe. If we can get smoltz back as the closer :D:D:D:D:D I say sigh Lowe and maybe a guy like Oliver perez. No way would San Diego do that. Francoeur's a mess, and his value is at an all-time low. Reyes isn't that good of a prospect. Padres GM Kevin Towers said today that they're looking for pitching, mostly, and would like a mix of major-league ready and near-ready guys....which sounds like they'd require both Jurrjens and Hanson, plus more.Quote:

You know... I never really think about them. That is a trade that would REALLY help both teams. Its a fair deal too. Suddenly makes the Padre's a contrender too... and just makes Tampa look like DEFINATLY the team to beat next year in the east too lol. Plus Tampa would not lose any picks because he is a F/A.
