He was 4th in the AL in ERA+ behind Lee, Matsuzaka, and Halladay. Matsuzaka gets major demerits for only pitching 167 innings, plus I can't look past the fact that he put a ton of runners on base.
Sorry, there is NO WAY that there were 10 better pitchers in the AL than Jon Lester, even if you don't think he was third best, there's NO way he's worse than 10 other guys.
