Sorry MDM but you could remove half the teams & K-Rod's price would be the same - as it is there are like only 5/6 potential bidders (similar to A-Rod last year WHEN he realized there actually was ONLY ONE potential bidder!)

One has to be serious here,MLB (& the teams) are raking in money,"hand over fist" & thus Allows agents to ask for these prices KNOWING that the owners do have financial viability to pay.Heck even the spendthrift Marlins are going to pay a player 10 million + (or 50% of this season's Payroll!) NEXT season....

Thats what I liek about the Sox... they DONT do craxy stuff like that. The told Lowel this is your offer... he said no they said goodbye... he then came back and took it.

The Sox are NOT te be held at anyones mercy. I don't like the sox but they seem to know talent better (lol asde from lugo)
