I think Minute Maid Park is the funniest/oddest one.
You know, I honestly wonder how long these companies are going to be doling out cash for stadium names. It seems obvious to me that the name recognition factor (which is what their paying for) isn't really paying off. Even for the outlandish names, like "Minute Maid Park"... once you get used to it you don't think of the company or the product, you think of the park itself. When someone mentions "Minute Maid", I don't think of... whatever it is that Minute Maid makes (Orange juice, right?), I think of the stadium itself.
You mean when you see a game played in Minute Maid park you don't get thirsty and want to run out and buy a jug of OJ? Well back to the drawing board.
heh
you may have a point there...
I'm still disappointed Philly did'nt name thier new one Cracked Bell Park.....
and when they practice on the field, they'll be having Target Practice.
What's next Walmart Field? Burger King Field? Ronald Mcdonald Dome?
