I voted Pat's - Giants.
I think Giants over New England. Nobody saw that coming.
Favre returning to another team doesn't surprise me. Celtics winning the title and LSU clobbering OSU doesn't surprise me at all either.
Interesting.
I would pick none, instead I am going to pick Jon Lester throwing a no-hitter, after he came back from cancer, a no-hitter is tough to do, but doing it after you got cancer is incredible.
Lance Armstrong broke the glow of 'doing something after cancer'
Sorry for leaving Phelps off the list. Should be there. The problem is that most people forget Olympians within 10 years. Most people dont even remember Mark Spitz.
As for football, everyone remembers the undefeated Dolphins and Pats and will for a long time.
Baseball, everyone remembers the first time the Marlins/ DBacks/ Rockies first world series as expasion teams. The Rays are the only ones left.
Yankees not making the playoffs!
I have a great idea for a new story in 2008: make football an Olympic sport!
Wouldn't that be a great idea? Even Peyton Manning is behind this idea and so am I.
If anyone else wants to support this idea, there is a petition hosted on Weplay.com (I'm writing on their behalf) and I will provide the link for you to sign!

Thoughts?
If you're being SERIOUS...stupid.
Yes, an Olympic sport that the US and Canada will meet in the final of EVERY SINGLE TIME...how utterly pointless.
Besides, Women's Hockey already fits that bill. :D
American Football would be four teams. USA, Mexico, Canada and Japan.
These are the only four countries who have enough of talent or enough people playing to put it on the line as an olympic sport.
And the USA (no offense to Canada) would dominate. It would be a quick gold for the USA, quick silver for Canada and a battle for Bronze between Mexico and Japan.
Japan plays football?
It would be a cool concept, though.
Many other countries might try and catch on to the phenomenon.
