And of course you're going to get less than you gave up. You got a years' worth of use out of him

Not really an issue, anyway, the $2 million salary for a bench guy. The Red Sox just have to sell a few more pink caps to 12-year-old girls. :rolleyes:

They Braves really did all they could this year they had to take some chances without alot of pitching depth so they took a chance on Smoltz, Glavine and Hampton being healthy and they got burned.

As far a texeria goes, again, they gambled last year and this with him, but in the long run they got a productive player at a postion they need for the future and the main players in the original trade (Andruis and Saltalamacchia) were both blocked from being starters and were basically trade bait at this point anyways.

At least he's smart enough to blow it up this year, cut away vets to gain some players and system depth.

Except the Orioles get the same cut of those caps as the Sox.
