Weightlifting is an Olympic sport & has been in the LAST 10 years the sport which has been the greatest "cheater" (thank you Turkey & Bulgaria) but it is now as "clean" as it CAN be whereas Body building UHHH the official BB organization SELLS Steroids on it SITE ! :eek::eek::eek:

And it is a valid one. I was just pointing out that, since nobody notices/cares when a weightlifter does test positive, it doesn't make quite the impact as the same happening to a sprinter.
While it might not in this country, it does in others.
The IOC says it takes its testing very seriously, REGARDLESS of the sport. Everyone gets tested and now they keep samples for up to 10 years so they can go back and test if they feel the need to when they have new testing methods.

Well, forgive me for not exactly believing an organization like the IOC. I find it very hard to believe that so few athletes tested positive this year, especially ones from countries that have been nailed with national doping programs in the past (Hello, China!). I also look back at the '88 games. Ben Johnson was stripped of his medal (and rightly so), yet the next THREE guys in terms of time have ALSO ALL since either tested positive (Linford Christie and Dennis Mitchell), or there is a lot of evidence that their national committee had enough pull to have their precious star runner's tests thrown out (Carl Lewis). All that was proven there was that countries with a BIG program that throw big dollars at Olympics will get a free pass to a certain extent, ESPECIALLY when it's a star who gets nailed.
