The first MBM moment in LA
So, Los Angeles got its first taste of Manny Being Manny.
Top of the 9th, they can't find him! He came running out of the dugout moments later, zipping up his fly and rebuttoning his shirt. I guess he thought the game was over? :p lol
I wish I could've seen this live on ESPN, but, MLB's dumb blackout rules means that, since I live 3 hours away from Philadelphia, I can't watch a national Phillies game.
Re: The first MBM moment in LA
Well, I'm just happy the blackout rules only blackout nationally televised Mets/Yankees games for me, and I have SNY and YES, so I can watch all of the Mets and Yankees I want! :p :D

Sallright, im 4 hours from KC, 5 hours from St. Louis, 3 hours from Dallas and 8 hours from Houston....can't see any of them.
People in Iowa miss seeing six teams.
Re: The first MBM moment in LA
I got Orioles games blacked out. I am in Charlotte, NC - almost SC for crying out loud. Last time I checked, there was a big state called Virginia in between us.
However, I later found out this is just because I have an Orioles station, MASN, like 700 channels up. So if you guys have satellite, see if it's on a secondary channel - from what I'm learning, they blackout national games when there's overlapping regional access.
Although, some other ones I just get blacked out for, with no real reason. Sigh.
Re: The first MBM moment in LA
Ahhhh... nothing like having not one but 2 teams around using 2 channels...
and absolutely no blackouts, ever.
We also don't get blacked out for the national games... and often the game will be on ESPN and WGN. So if the Cubs are national on a Sunday night, I get to choose between Joe Morgan and Bob Brenly for color commentary. I can also switch back and forth and get different camera angles.
Anyway, I saw that MBM episode on Baseball Tonight last night. It was funny, but a little bit disturbing. He hit a bases loaded double earlier in the game, so I guess he gets a pass.
Re: The first MBM moment in LA
I live in Raleigh and can't get Orioles games on MLB Extra Innings because this is considered "local market" for Baltimore. Ridiculous.
I can't watch MASN here because of their ongoing pissing contest with Time Warner. Stupid.
So I haven't been able to see the Orioles or Nationals on TV all year. Don't really care about the Nats (sorry OFG) but I did really want to see the O's, and this pisses me off. MLB is aware of the problem, but in true politician style they have gone running away from the problem rather than deal with it.

Re: The first MBM moment in LA
The poor guy probably got caught short...perhaps not used to the different sort of hot dogs that they serve up in L.A.?
The euphemism used in the highlights that I viewed were "He was changing his glove"(!).
I'm surprised that some Members didn't see the incident...I presume that all the sports "wrap-ups" later in the day replayed the -er- "highlight - which, let's face it, is no biggie, anyway - even in the blacked -out areas.
We viewed it up here, and we're only Canadians:D
Re: The first MBM moment in LA
I somehow don'y get anygames blacked out, except for MLBtv Red Sox games
