Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
End of the season. I'll make a post.
Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
What will you do with obvious BS votes? Like, let's say my ballot looked like:
MVP: Andre Ethier
Cy Young: Chad Billingsley
Gold Gloves: James Loney, Jeff Kent, Angel Berroa, Blake DeWitt, etc.
Rookie of the Year: Blake DeWitt
etc...

I don't know. I'm hoping people aren't jerks like that.

I'm guessing John Maine gets exactly one first place vote for Cy Young.
Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
Im hoping there won't be enough for that person to win.
Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
I suppose, now that I think about it, Kuroda has a very good case for ROTY, so I may vote for him. How will we handle Japanese vets? I'd guess we're allowed to vote for them and it will be the discretion of the voters at large, as some may choose not to vote for a foreign vet for ROTY.

They're handled just as they are in real life. They're rookies.

Why is that obviously BS?

 Because it's all Dodgers? And because Andre Ethier is clearly not the MVP by any definition? And same for Chad Billingsley being the Cy Young?
Anyway, I think I need to make this clear, because I've been getting some votes already, heh, VOTING HAS NOT BEGUN. There's still 3 weeks left to the season, and that must be counted for in the voting.

Well, Billingsley is certainly a top 10 candidate, maybe even cracking the top 5.
But definitely not the #1.
Yeah, though, those are obviously BS votes. Kent for a GG? Two players with 66 and 98 games played, (Berroa, DeWitt) respectively, for GGs?

True.
Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
Well, I'll probably vote all Tigers. Don't throw away my ballot.

I guess I was wrong in assuming that people would have enough decency to vote with as little bias as possible.
I think Cabrerra is probably mvp, and galaraga is ROY. I will make cases for both of these with my ballots.
Re: The 2008 Sports Mogul MLB Awards
My predictions right now i would say are
Cy Young: AL: Cliff Lee NL: Tim Lincecum
MVP: AL: Josh Hamilton NL: Albert Pujols
ROY: AL: Evan Longoria NL: Geavony Soto
