Kind of stupid, a name like Twisters or Tornados would be better for OKC, but whatever, the NBA is pretty much crap anyway.

Maybe they named it that to save money on not needing a physical mascot, since it's such a small market. They can just have a thunder sound effect and not somebody dressed in a costume. Hey, they have to save pennies everywhere!
But yes, basketball is boring.
They will have a mascot, probably like a guy in tights dressed like a cloud

They should have been the Outlaws. That area was a prime spot for them back in the day and it shows how Seattle feels about Clay Bennett. :mad:

It doesn't sound like a bad name to me, but then, I named my dynasty the Surf, so what do I know. :)
Besides, they couldn't use "Outlaws" - they're saving that name for the NBA referees. :)
