:D:Dglad to get him and Griffey out of NL central!!:)
Go Bay!!!!!!!!
For those who watch SportsCenter and/or the game last nigth, Manny doesn't make that catch, Manny doesn't leg out a triple and Manny doesn't look right in blue.
Why, you thought the Yankees were going to get him or something?
Bay took one yard tonight. 5-2 Sox in the first.
niiice. three run homer, go Bay. the ovation was well deserved.
is he contracted for next year with us or what?

woot and now he's OPSing 2.464
Been a fan of him for a while. Very happy he's here. Now to get my number 44 jersey. It can sit next to my Pedroia World Series and my Fisk jerseys.
Thats exactly what I was thinking as I watched that game. I saw a ton of things Bay did in that game that Manny wouldn't/couldn't. The catch he made (though Manny probably would've been playing shallower and wouldn't have HAD to make that catch), the triple, when Drew hit that double in the second inning, I don't think Manny would've tried to go to third on that and Drew would've been stuck with a single.
Very fundamentally sound and just all-around talented player, as he has always been now hes just showcasing it on a bigger stage.
Mbhangar, your back! The dynasty is saved!
Two homers last night - and a steal. The guy has a heck of a swing. He had to change jersey numbers, from 38 to 44, because of the Big Schil? According to one source, Schilling offered to sell his #38 for a fee (to go to charity). Wonder why that didnt work out...
He seems to be fitting in well, and thanks to Youk being hot as heck, he can get some good swings as #5.
Some random stats on Bay: http://www.boston.com/sports/basebal..._bay_file.html
Yep, it happens all the time in every sport.
And, while I don't always agree with Schilling, thank goodness there are still a few guys out there whose every friggin' answer isn't stupid athlete cliches. "We gave it 110%...they made the most of their chances..." Ugh.
