Note to Green Bay Packers Ownership

Consider this my formal application for the job of NOT PLAYING. I will be glad to save you guys a ton of money and NOT PLAY for half of what you're offering Brett Favre. :D

And though I was on the fence as to who the "bad guy" was in this whole saga, this latest offer seals the deal for me. It's pretty obvious you not only don't want Favre any longer, you don't want anybody else to have him either. While he's made mistakes in this ongoing soap opera, this one takes the cake for me.

And FWIW, I'll even NOT PLAY for ONE TENTH the amount you've offered Favre. I really do assure you, I can NOT PLAY with all the equal skill and ability that Brett Favre can NOT PLAY. So, please, consider the cost savings by hiring me to NOT PLAY.:D

LOL. This should be a no-brainer for the Packers ownership. Hire OldFatGuy!

Well if Brett accepts this tells me he must not of wanted to un-retire too badly!

If the pay is as good as what the Pack is offering Favre for NOT PLAYING, consider me in!:D

It just blows my mind that they are willing to pay him $20 million over 10 years to NOT play in the NFL anymore. But then, the US Government has been paying farmers for years to NOT grow things, so there is precedent, as inherently stupid as that sounds.

I heard that its up to $25 million now. Are the Packers that desperate to get rid of Favre?

$25 mil over 10 years, which equals the total amount left in the final 2 years of Favre's current contract.

"You got a guy out there like Brett Favre, I think anytime you put a Hall of Fame quarterback on the field for you, you are going to give your team a chance to win. I mean what he needs to do for this Green Bay team is take them down the field and score touchdowns, thats the only way he is going help this team win. If they dont score any touchdowns, I just dont see how they can put together some wins.."

The latest development is that Favre has reported to camp, and that the Packers are going to match up he and Aaron Rodgers in competition for the job of starting QB.

This has to be the first time that I've "scooped" the news in this forum!:cool:
