Oh yeh, totally agree they had to trade him, just that the sum total of the Tex trades for Atl is in the negative

Did you factor in:589AB, 37HR, 134RBI, .295BA, .395OBP, .548SLG, .943OPS for the Braves?

Considering it didn't help them to the playoffs, I don't think how well he performed really mattered.
Definitely a net-loss between the two deals for the Braves.
Re: Teixeira to the Angels
Tex didn't work out for the Braves, but getting Jurrjens for Renteria certainly has. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.
Re: Teixeira to the Angels
Don't worry, the Yankees will get Mark and CC in the offseason.

it's very doubtful since I've heard that the Yanks want to have a payroll under $200 million next year. if they go for Sabathia and Texiara it'll be near $250 mill for next season. i's rebuilding time for the yankees and i don't mean but every availbe free agent on the off season either.
Re: Teixeira to the Angels
How come every time there's good young free agents the Yankees. "Don't wanna spend the money."

It's not that they aren't interested but everytime the Yankees are "supposedly interested in X or Y" the player's demands go up ;) btw they need OF not a 1B
Also there is now a possibility that Posada will never recover fully to re-catch forcing him (& his contract) to 1B :)

That would be a really really reaaaaaaallly stupid decision on the Yankees part.
Re: Teixeira to the Angels
So basically the Braves traded:
Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Beau Jones
Elvis andrus
Matt Harrison
Neftali Feliz
For:
Casey Kotchman
Stephen Marek
Now i dont know exactly how good the prospects are but i do no that Salty was the centerpiece of the (1st) Texeria trade. I know that some people are starting to call Salty a bust and his stats aren't great. So were the trades a bit unfair for the Braves, yes but i wouldn't say they got robbed. Every trade is a bit unfair
