That's too bad, Lowell was having a real good at bat. Might've hit a walk-off. Instead, the guy behind the plate gets the call wrong. Mo Rivera, possibly one of the greats of our time...does he need the help, guys??

LMAO.....yup, just looked. Yanks still in third. But watch out, Nady & Marte on coming to the roster lmfao.
Can't you just admit the calls were rediculous? At least when its the other way around, the Sox admit so. I guess thats the difference between the fan base, some are honest and some are 8 year olds. :p
Actually he (Tabata) was an outfielder and Baseball America had him listed as the 3rd best Yankee Prospect!
I forgot to copy it but this was a response to Dickay.
Anyways I didn't see tonights game but caught glimpses online.
The ump was calling the high strike on that corner all day. The batters should have adjusted to it.
Tabata was a headcase, hopefully the Pirates can sort him out. Ross never had a chance in the lineup behind all the other pitching prospects.
The trade was okay, nothing to get real excited about.
I don't really mean that we actually kicked their *** or dominated. I am just basically stating that the dude is crying. Making excuses about the 'poor calls' and stuff. He also said this, "Nady and Marte were the two missing pieces eh?? lmfao." So, basically, he is just discrediting the move, even though Nady is better than any OF'ers they got not named JD Drew and Manny Ramirez. Marte is also better than any RP they got not named Jonathan Papelbon.
Whatever though, it was just all in good fun (my statement). We're already soaring in the standings over the last few weeks, and have one of the majors best records in the last month or so. I think it's like a .657 winning percentage or something like that, cannot remember.
Thats probably one of the least insightful things I've ever read. Thats like saying, this player is better than anyone, except for the players that are better than him . Also, I'm pretty sure I'd take Oki over Marte anyways.
And if you think the additions of Nady and Marte are gonna lead you to the promised land, you've got another thing coming. Are they good pickups? Yeah, definitely. But Nady can't cover up the holes left by Posada AND Matsui, and Marte isn't going to make the smoldering pile of c**p that is Kyle Farnsworth any better either. Nady does cover up at least Matsui, and Marte will help the bullpen some, but the Yankees need a lot more than an average to slightly above average outfielder and relief pitcher to get past the Red Sox, Rays, and anyone they have to compete with in the Wild Card race.
How hurt does Manny's knee have to be to not pinch hit during the ninth considering he was hitting in the batting cage?
Umm... Take a look at Krazy Kyle's stats this year. Also, take a look at this "average to slightly above average outfielder"... Yeah, he's hitting .330, and hitting .292 ever since he stopped calling Petco Park home. Marte is also average to slightly above average? Really? Ok then...
Sir, I think this applies to your above wall of flawed text. http://youtube.com/watch?v=wKjxFJfcrcA
Yeah, hes hitting .330, thats great. His career batting average is .281, and I would expect him to regress closer to that over the course of the second half of the season. Even that .330 is only due to hitting extraordinarily well in July, prior to July he was hitting pretty average.
And yeah, he is, would you call a 3.47 ERA by a relief pitcher anything better than average? He was stellar last season, but hes not an elite pitcher.
I'm giving the Yankees plenty of credit for this move. It was a good move that helped their team, but neither of the players are any better than average to slightly better than average.
Solid trade for the Yankees. They improve their roster without giving up anything major. Tabata has huge potential, but he's out for the season with an injury and had a couple "unofficial" suspensions due to his behavior this season. Ohlenddorf has a shot at being a decent reliever, but the other two guys are longshots.
