It is stupid and idotic to think that a program like vbullentin can't support a number of post. I thought that vbullentin was the best of the forum software. There are many other forums that handle 100x this volume of posting. Cleaning out the old is a waste of your time. Maybe it is time to upgrade the server.

As both Clay and Dee have mentioned numerous times, the posts are not the problem at all. It's the number of sub-forums that seems to be causing problems. The BMO connection itself probably adds quite a bit of "stress" as well.

Personally, I'm 100% behind moving the BMO forums lock stock and barrel to a separate board. I'm fairly certain that things will be much more stable all the way around that way.

If I'm not mistaken, this was caused by a number of BMO players asking for dead leagues to be cleaned...

Kinda like the Bill Murray flick "Groundhog Day". Except, not like it at all. We do have the opportunity to correct our past posting transgressions now though. So it's like being a born again Christian, kinda, but not really. :confused: Where's my beer gone to now?:confused:

Yea, that's pretty much the way I feel too. These conversations always bug me, mostly because it reminds me that I've got the 2nd or 3rd most posts here in less time than everyone else has been around...

Well, as long as you're not complaining about how you lost internet message board posts, you're OK. :cool:

This other forum I post on has a "posts per day" calculation in the user profile. Seeing some of those numbers is absolutely insane.

We spend a lot of time padding, that is why I am mad...If I counted how many hours Mikey, Dabs and I padded, it might be weeks ;)

That is why this sucks, how much does a single thread have in terms of memory (1 kilabite?)

Post counts in BMO also mean activity, translation (how active are you)
