ERA measured against the league average, and adjusted for ballpark factors. An ERA+ over 100 is better than average, less than 100 is below average.
gRYFN1 said it perfectly. If you have a 4.50 ERA and the park-adjusted league ERA is 4.50, you have a 100 ERA+. A lower ERA, you're ERA+ will be higher. A higher ERA, you're ERA+ will be lower.Quote:
