Do the Hawks do it?
Who cares, it's basketball...
Good riddance...
lol
(I'm j/k, of course)
I wouldn't care anyway, since I'm in the Portland market.
I am routing for the underdog in this one... Go Hawks! Go Marvin Williams!
Marvin Williams "went", all right.
Hawks nearly pulled it off. If the Celtics had stopped scoring with 5 minutes left in the THIRD quarter, Atlanta would have won 65-64.
This series demonstrates again that basketball has the largest home court/field advantage in the major sports. Average score in 3 games in Atlanta:
Atl 101 Bos 95
Average score in 4 games in Boston:
Bos 102 Atl 77
Home court advantage in basketball has always tripped me out... I mean, comeon, their all basically the same courts! I've heard people talk aobut the parquet floors and whatnot at the Garden, which in itself makes sense, but that doesn't explain everywhere else. It's got to have something to do with matchup's, or something. But, you can sub players pretty much any time in basketball, and a large percentage of players play nearly the entire game, so...
well yea, but... that much? I don't know, I can't think of any other explaination either, and that's not the first time that I've heard that as a reason, either.
Honestly, I don't think anyone really knows. Even the players talk about it sometimes.
I predict 99-65 Celts :)
