Yeah, the Brewers were so much better than the Rockies...and Milwaukee is such a bigger city than Denver.
And Braun didn't win a gold glove.
:)

Yeah, and, the Gold Glove awards are voted on by the managers and coaches of every team in the league...so, is every coach biased in favor of big cities?
Re: College Baseball League MOD
lol. okay. If you say so. I'm sure the small team coaches just love the big cities and vote for players from the big cities.
The more likely factor is that Gold Gloves are based mostly on offense, which is backwards but never the less, a huge factor, and flashy plays.. See: Derek Jeter.

But that's counteracted by the fact that the coaches of every team, big city and small city, vote for the award. It's not just the big city coaches. There's no "big city" bias in any of the award voting.
Re: Awards and big city bias
the Gold glove is a worthless statistic. it is based on NOTHING. Yes Maddux was one of the best fielding pitchers in his career but to give hime the gold glove EVERY year when statistacly there were better pitchers is bs... this coming from a Braves fan and a DIEHARD Maddux fan (lol tho he pees on people and smashed up rentals :p)
Re: Awards and big city bias
I just wish yami (among others) would make their signatures smaller is all (vertically, at least). Annoying.
(ps: thanks metsguy234! :))

Derek Jeter, in my mind(and yes i know i am undervaluing jeter because hes a yankee) is the worst defensive SS to win a gold glove.
