You know what I find more disturbing?

The fact that there's no baseball term that remotely sounds like "jerked off", so he didn't just pronounce a word wrong...

I was thinking something like "jerked around"...like how he got scratched from the start, than had to warm up, etc.

That is hilarious...and made even MORE hilarious by Cone's own past...err...indiscretions. :D

The way I took it is that he was saying Kennedy was warming up in the outfield expecting to start, and got "jerked" suddenly out of there. He was jerked off the outfield grass, basically.

wouldn't getting jerked off be a form of getting warmed up so to speak?...
