Dude, Ron Fairly is one of the worst announcers ever, good thing Dave Neihaus was up there..... Ron Fairly was worse than Joe Morgan.
I dunno, going by some of those quotes, you might be judging ol' Ron unfairly. :D
At least he'd be good for a laugh, much like the later days of Harry Caray. In his last few years Harry was doing good if he could correctly identify which team the Cubs were playing, but he was still a blast to listen to.
The mute button sounds far better than Joe Morgan. :mad:

I agree with BC, intentionally, or not, Ron's selected comments were amusing...Fairly bears out my contention that the onus of communication lies with the recipient. I think most of us can figure out Ron's meaning..Quote:
