So what so good about This New Japanese Player?
From all reports, he's likely to be a J.D. Drew/Bobby Abreu type player. .300 average, .400 OBP, 20 homers, 10-15 steals.

I heard him described as cross between ichiro suzuki and hideki matsui.
i found that description odd as they are very different styles of hitting.
I heard that too, but I don't see how .295/.371/.495 + .333/.379/.437 = .300/.400/.500. :p
