So the DEVIL RAYS changed their name and logo to the RAYS...Have you seen this logo or their uni's? Horrible...you know it takes more than a couple new colours and a shortened name to change how poorly your organization has faired since expansion.

Oh, I don't know, it's not that bad. They (the team) seem to be on the right track now as well. The front office isn't making completely boneheaded decisions, at least.
Good point (in that thread) about the colors. Tampa being primarily green was fairly distinctive.
I loved the Tampa Bay Green. Their uniforms used to be awesome. The green kind of went with the dome they played in.
Well, they're very similar to the Royals in that scheme. Guess MLB's color coding their teams now? ;)
with the " D-Ray " shortage looming,
the Blue Jays have decided to slightly shorten their name.
i think it a bad idea, personally.
They probably felt that "Devil" was too biblical.
Well, that has been a concern in the last decade or so (for some reason...)
However, from what I remember hearing about, they just realized (and I guess a good portion of their fans have as well) that a Devil Ray is just a wimpy creature....
