Sox or Rox, who wins?
Boston in 6, maybe 5 games.

FOX wins (or at least doesn't lose as much) because Boston made it to the WS. I bet the suits at FOX were sweating bullets over the prospect of a Colorado - Cleveland Word Series.

This seems to come up every year, but you know... it is the World Series. Has there ever been a World Series that had low ratings? I mean, even the other networks tend to move programming out of the way of the World Series, which really says something since it always occurs during the beginning of the Fall TV season.

They like having almost the whole of New England, some of Canada, and parts of eastern NY state watching. One of the largest markets being involved certainly brightens their day.

Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
Well, of course. But the implication is that FOX (or any other network) would really be hurt by two smaller market teams making it. While the ratings would probably be decreased slightly, it's only ever going to be a slight decrease.

I'm thinking that Matsuzaka blows his location in Colorado too often and someone/s hit the ball right off the mountain.

Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
Geez, the optimists sure are coming out of the woodwork this week!
:D

Naw not really pessimism, more realism. Daisuke loses his location in nearly every game he pitches for a short time. If they lose a game, and so long as he's the 3 or 4 guy, I think it'll be his start, and location will be what kills him, should he lose. Then again, Boston could just roll to a 4-0 rout. :D
-
Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
Yep, Daisuke really does pitch great. His peripheral stats show that. It's just that he's extremely prone to one or two big innings every game which just blows his ERA up and gives him losses.

Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
Well, since we HAVE to have Boston or New York in the Series, it seems.. Rockies win.. Don't care how many games.. Just don't want the Red Sox to win..
I would have loved a Cleveland/Colorado Series..

Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
Sox Win 13-1
Can anyone say Sweep

i can.
did you hear that thud. it was the rockies falling back to earth and getting their asses handed to them.
welcome to the big leagues boys.:D

Re: Sox or Rox, who wins?
I doubt that the Rockies will be swept, although I certainly wouldn't mind if they were. Between the layoff, the rain, first time in the series for most of them, and being in Boston, a first game loss was hardly surprising. Game 2 will be much more interesting.

those factors would of been in play and as you say this next game should be interesting as I would imagine there would be a degree of determination to come back in the Rockies camp now

I doubt it. The Red Sox will hammer the Rockies again.

HGM, is that like my golf game where I make, at least, 20 masterly shots during each outing?...it's the other 99 strokes that do my handicap in
