LOL Nice biased poll there.
Love the poll!
:D
no maybe
what if he didn't hit the slam? my answer is no. Not for JD Drew.
Since he's part of the reason for the tight finish, NO!
I have been saying all October(and i said it again before his at bat to my friends) JD Drew, 1 big hit in October can make you a hero in Boston
POLL EDITED, I hate the Sox and the Yankees.
lol
Easy. Their lead would have been bigger, and they would have been less likely to cough up leads if he were hitting all season long. The season isn't 30 days long. Lugo sucked too. We had two "leadoff hitters" batting 8 and 9 for most of the season, and our number 5 was actually number 2.
The Sox are going to be AL champs though (apparently), so they've been doing something right.
I hate the Sox. Their bandwagon fans (no offense to those on here) are the worst. I went to like three Sox/M's games this year and heard tons of people with no Eastern accents screaming and cheering for Boston. It's really infuriating.
The Red Sox were great all season, despite Drew and Lugo struggling. They never stopped winning. There wasn't much that they could do to stop it from getting so close. They were still winning, the Yankees were just on an incredible roll.
But a lot of them were from Seattle, didn't know any of the Red Sox and were obviously cheering for them because they had the best record in baseball.
I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion without talking to each of the individual fans.
It seems like you're just as much of a bandwagoner as they may possibly me...just AGAINST the Red Sox, rather than for them.
That doesn't even make any sense! :D
You seem to just join the bandwagon of Red Sox-haters, going as far as to make baseless judgments about their fans.
Sure it does. There's many people who "hate" either the Red Sox or the Yankees. Their the top two targets in baseball, hence the "bandwagon effect" that many people seem to "hate" both teams simply because many other people do as well.
Is one swing worth 14 million dollars = NO
Oh? Why not?
It does when those 3 games are the deciding factor for the entire season.
Game 7, World Series, down by 1, runner on third, bottom of the 9th inning, 2 outs..
The hitter hits a home run.
Is that swing worth 14 million dollars?
OK. If you say so.
:)

He hit .342/.454/.618 with 4 HR and 18 RBI in September.
The Red Sox went 15-11 in September.
The Red Sox really played no part in the tight finish. They never stopped winning. The Yankees simply played outstanding. .
Yes Dan - which is what I said originally.....
Talka bout Bandwagon fans in Seattle. If we aint winning, people don't go to games..sonic games?
As for the Mariners, where were the fans in the 80-92'?
Personally I hate Boston more than the yankees. At least the yankees have had good owners since the 1920's (generally speaking). And Stienbrenner is a win at no cost owner. I wish more owners were like that.
