Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Tony Gwynn definitely, and maybe Stan Musial?
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Ichiro Suzuki, Joe Mauer, and Robinson Cano
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Don't forget Carl Crawford; he's already got 900+ hits and he's only 25, he'll have a thousand before he turns 26 so as long as he stays healthy he's got the best shot out of current players.
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Also, what about Yastrzemski?
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Wade Boggs and Don Mattingly are good ones here too...
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Tony Gwynn is only 73/83 in your run? thats too bad :(

Keep in mind that scouting is different for each team that you start with, I believe SD was +-7 so he could be a lot better than that.
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Okay guys, I just got to number 15 so I think I am going to close down suggestions for players at this point. You can still make them, just know that I might not get around to them. If this thing is that popular I will keep it going though.
So show me some support and it could go on forever :)
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Matt Holliday or Garrett Atkins
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Out of those two, I'd say Holliday definitely, but I don't Atkins would have much of a chance.
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
I have a question, do you put a lot of money into medical staff? Obviously this is important, because an injury is usually what forces these players to retire...
And for a suggestion (if you choose to keep going and going), Kirby Puckett!
Re: Can He Beat Pete Rose?
Yep, I spend a ton of money in medical.
