10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX [Fixed 10.25H]
On XP SP2 w/ v. 10.25E, while troubleshooting the "Attendance Too High" bug, I discovered a separate, but possibly related bug. While games started in 9.XX and imported to and saved under previous (10.24 and earlier) versions will play in 10.25E, games created in 9.XX will not open at all in 10.25E. (See below screenshots.)
While I realize that for folks who already have BB2K8, this isn't much of an issue, it's still an advertised feature. More to my point, these two bugs may be related.
Re: 10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX
I haven't been able to get any of my BM07 games to load in BM08. Is there some sort of switch you're supposed to flip to make this happen, or is it just me?

Can you load them in 10.24? That's what the top screenshot in my post is: I started, then saved a game in 9.45, then opened it in 10.24.
Re: 10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX
I haven't been able to get the 07 games to load, period. I always get the dialog box that says "Cannot load "xxx.mog". It's not been that big of a deal for me though, which is why I haven't mentioned it before now.
Re: 10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX
Some versions of 2K8 load saved games from 2K7 just fine.

Do you mean the unofficial patches since 10.24, or version 10.24 and earlier?

To be honest, I have no idea what version I was running when I last loaded a saved game from 2K7. I do have a few that have since been saved in 2K8, though, and once the game has converted the old saved game to the new version it's fine. Unless a bug creeps into the save/load code. :)
Re: 10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX
I don't remember what version I was using before either, but I'm currently running 10.25C and I know the 07 games won't load there. I'll probably wait until the next "official" patch before I try those again, like I said it's not a big deal to me but may be for y'all and some others.

True that. This post refers to games that have not been previously converted. The '99 Rockies .mog w/ which I run a lot of my tests was started in 8.XX, converted to 9.XX, then originally converted to 10.11 and saved on most patches (official and unofficial) since then. I have no problems opening that one.

The tested file was brand new (posted). Anyone who still has 2K7 installed can run the test the same way I did: start a new game in 2K7, save, copy to 2K8 folder, and attempt to open.
Re: 10.25E Cannot Import from 9.XX
Started with 10.25e and now that I try to start a new season with a team everything is ok, but once I save it and try to reload the game it says Couldn't load game file. Installed 20.25g with same actions. Very sad.

I think you may have a corrupt file, Excal. Can you post the .mog?
If you did find a bug, I recommend starting a new thread. This thread refers to games started in 9.XX, and the bug appears to have been fixed in 10.25G. :D The above game from which I posted screenshots hung at 53% for 1 second, then 97% for 4 seconds before opening correctly. Once saved in 10.25G, I had no problem reopening the file.
