Mogul? 3 Man Rotation?
forgot the level and its a 5 man rotation hes i think 46 now. he won 30 games once and he has had 4 guys with 3900 hits or more like 7 500 homerun hitters and 4 guys with 2000 rbis or more at least so he got wins a lot
lol
Must Be A Hoax Or Your Entire Team Is On Steroids And Playing At Coors Field, Circa 1998.
i know the most win i ever had for a pither on any game was like 410. i usually get a couple of 300 game winners but this was randomn
300 for me is pretty much impossible
300 isn't that hard to hit. My 20-year ace has 411 and never won over 25 in a single season, but won't hit 500, jebus. Has struck out over 6000 so far though :P
Well I can never get 20 year old Aces and I live by the draft
Not 20 years old, I meant he's been my ace for 20 years
Has to be a super easy level....
Unless of course he is playing PBP and they guy goes 25-0 every year...
no i sim but is weird cause he never got injured for a long time and i really lucked out with my position players who are old now but were around the same age and developed together making an incredible offense
Hmm...what do you have the "hall of fame careers" set on? Just wondering, cause it sounds weird that you would have that many guys that stay that good for that long.
Yeah All Of The Settings Must Be Set In Your Favor. It Takes The Fun Out Of It When You Have That Many Great Players At One Time.
I'm Curious What Your Payroll And Budget Was During This Time As Well. I Would Have Thought That After Winning So Many Games Every Season That He Would Have Demanded An Insane Contract, So To Be Able To Afford Him (unless You Have The Yankees Payroll/budget) You Would Have Had To Cut Costs Elsewhere.
I'm not so suprised that he could afford them all, making money is no problem in this game if you can get your team to win consistently, but no matter how good you are there comes a time when you just don't have that super dominant team, which apparently never happened to this guy.
But after a while winning every championship, I've noted fans stop coming to my stadium. They get bored, I guess...
Wow i'm doing a dynasty with the Red Sox(mainly cuz i wanted to get players that could brea krecords and hate the yankees so yeah) but how the **** did Willis pitch to 46?! Lester is like 36-37 and lost almost all his skills, Schilling went to like 43 before he sucked. Willis must have had eith one **** of a long Peak, or a big Longevity rating or something.
The closest i've gotten so far is 337(i think) with Lester, but i do have like a 25 year old pitcher with 7-8 seasons and all of them over 15 wins with exception of like 2-3.
Broken the saves record though(Rivera retired with 634) and Papelbon is near 700 and not slowing down at all.
Saves is easy to break I find. I usually can do that with any closer I pick at age 25 or so.
all settings are default and i was lucky with who i picked i guess. He must have a longevity rating up there and as I said befoe i have never seen this happen. Difficulty is Coach though.
The highest I have gotten is 370 taking over a guy from another team!
No pics yet? Then it didn't happen :p
I Would Love To See Ohms Or Houston Do Simulations Of Something Like This. I Am Guessing That With A Five-man Rotation, Neither Of Those Two Pitchers Would Come Close To Winning That Many Games Without Making Multiple In-game Adjustments. Put Me Among The Skeptics As Well.
THAT'S JUST TOO HARD TO BELIEVE. FOUR GUYS WITH 3900+ HITS? SEVEN 500+ HOME RUN HITTERS? THOSE ARE NINTENDO NUMBERS. NO WAY. I'D LOVE TO SEE THE TRANSACTIONS PAGE AS WELL TO SEE HOW MUCH THEY ASKED FOR WHEN THEY BECAME FREE AGENTS AND HOW YOU WERE ABLE TO STAY WITHIN THE BUDGET, UNLESS YOU TOTALLY DISREGARDED THIS.
Using a mix of BM2k6/Bm2k7, I played up to 2218.
Just a quick check of the leaderboards...3 players who played mostly with my team hit over 755 home runs (one was editted, the only player i editted). I had 4 400 game winners. 10 others with more than 350 wins.
I would continually win 120 games by signing free agent stars and buying stars from other teams.
It's certainly possible. The game I did was exceedingly high-powered, and I had used a mod at the time that made it so times changed far into the future, which resulted in a period of time when 40 starts was the norm for players. However, the guy with 430 wins never started more than 34 games in a season. He played 25 seasons, and only had 8 full seasons (9 seasons including 5 starts in his last year) with 17 or less wins.
I don't think it is unrealistic to have these kinds of statistics. I'm playing a career in BBM2007 and using Houston's end of season rosters (called UpToDate). From this I did a fantasy draft and started as the Red Sox. I didn't change any settings, so whatever the default settings are with the roster that's what I use. Basically the point of the career is to win as many games and championships as possible. I work on the Yankees philosophy that if a guy is a good player I sign them, not really caring what they want to be paid. Out of the draft I ended up with Rodriguez, Ramirez, Jeter, so my payroll was big to start with. I keep all my expenses at #3 so always get good players from the farm. Pretty much the only position player rated under 90 on my team at any time is the catcher. Most of the pitchers will be over 90 as well, except a few who might be in the 80's but have peaks in the high 90's. My payroll is anywhere between the 150,000,000 and 180,000,000 mark and usually fluctuates with the age of the team. The first few years I was doing alright, winning all the time and making a bit of money. After about 10 years I needed more money as players started asking for 25,000,000+. So with a nice little grant from the league editor I built myself a nice fancy 65,000 seat stadium. Now I get whatever players I want and then adjust ticket prices to suit the budget, I usually keep my cash on hand around 20,000,000. The stadium is sold out even with ticket prices around $40.
So making one little edit (by giving myself the 400,000,000 to build the stadium (if I had kept a reasonable payroll the first 10 years I probably would have had 400 mil in cash anyways)) I have been able to put together a team that has probably won 65 out of the 78 World Series' since 2006. Also my team usually gets between 115-130 wins a year, and over 300 home runs. I've probably had 50 or 60 players make the hall of fame too. I'll post some more accurate figures when I get home and play the game.
Despite all this though, I have never had a player break Cy Young's record, with the exception of the two players I edited (only 2 I have ever edited). I gave both players a peak end of 40 and a longevity of around the 500 max permitted. They both played until 52 years old.
I must add that this is all on the lowest difficulty, but I think that just makes it harder to sign players for less money and the other teams are smarter at keeping their 25 year old 95 rated pitchers.
If you upgrade Fenway, you can out earn the Yankees. 63000+ seats at Fenway, i had an expected Revenue of like 273 million.
For 15 years, my rotation as a Brewer was usually Webb, Sheets, Harden, Willis plus someone else.
Sheets retired at age 41 with 320-129, 3.48 record (last season was 2020, 22 starts, 13-5, 3.86). 1 Cy Young. Hall of Famer, 97% votes.
Willis retired at age 35, 190-91, 3.99 record (career ended with a horrendous trip to the DL) (last season was 2017, 14 relief app, 3-1, 4.15 record). Not a Hall of Famer.
Harden is pitching at age 42, 4-1, 4.20 in 7 games (4 started). Has a career record of 335-71, 3.41 ERA. Last three seasons has been a constant DL traveler.
Webb has been my leader and best pitcher. At age 45, he is pitching 6-0 in 6 starts with 1.24 ERA. Career: 435-108, 3.22. 4 Cy's. Mainly concern is, he has a 43 points Health.
Will Webb come close to Cy Young's record of 511? I don't think so. He'll pitch to 460-470 wins.
* I play game by game as a Manager. No player has been edited.
I don't know. He just finished the season 12-4, 2.81, 95 K in 170 IP (23 starts). He has a 40 Health. I don't think he's going to have that many games to catch Cy.
I've noticed players usually never pitch beyond 45, right? So, any moment he's going to retire... Sheets did it earlier, when he was still dominating...
Just started another Clevelend Blues Cy was in FA at 1903 now to see what he does for the "old"Spiders
Harden just retired. :(
352-83, 3.48. 3573 K in 3793 IP. 23 seasons. Last season was 2026 at age 44: 4-5, 4.58 in 15 games. Hall of Famer, 99% votes.
At 1908 Cleveland Blues Cy Young had one good year an trailed off next 3.Meanwhile that 66 rate SS(Jim McGuire 1894-1903-1909)played through and finally got a ring(1907).Cy by this time retired before WS an with that unlikly to return for 1909.
Heh. This reminds me of the time there was a bug where peakend > peakstart. Every player looked like Julio Franco.
In that sim, Dontrelle Willis had 490 wins. I had players at ages 48 and 49 with overalls in the 90s. Ah, good old bugs.
Wow that's pretty impressive :)
I was just looking at Clemens who still won't retire and is pitching for me at 46. Last year he won the Cy Young at 21 - 1 @ 2.07ERA, but his total is still only 378 wins...
Which Of Course In Real Life (aka Not Baseball Mogul) Is Where A Great Pitcher Will More Likely End Up Than 500+ Wins.
We never did get to see a screenshot of this one did we? :)
