What to do about mgsports...

I give up, he won't actually talk to me or anything and it's obvious that he loves all this attention. It would be easy enough to go back to playing whack-a-mole with him, I guess. We've got information now that can make life pretty difficult for him to keep doing this, as well. That doesn't really get us anywhere, though. So, I wanted to ask everyone, before we did anything, what do you think that we should do about him? Leave him alone, and just delete his inappropriate posts? Ban him, and play whack-a-mole some more? what?

All opinions are welcome. Feel free to speak up.

I've never actually seen any of his inappropriate posts, but I do love Whack-A-Mole.:D
Seriously though, what are the nature of the bad posts? Racist? Vulgar? Threatening physical harm? Are they directed at Mods alone, or at anyone who happens to wander on by?

All of the above, over the course of his entire history.

Is "stuff him into a locker" an option? :)

3. Half nelson 'till he screams uncle.

some ridiculous thread started by mgsports
21 posts from different people making fun of him or mocking his original post within a few minutes of his starting the thread
no posts from mgsports for a few weeks
rinse and repeat

the mods over there have tried the thread censoring, the short term banning, the long term banning, and the ignoring. the mocking by members seems to work best over there, but with not as many active posters here, it may not work as well *shrug*

Anyway, I've got some pretty good info, I think that we could make things pretty difficult for him for a while... doing that is a bit draconian, though. It'd pretty much be an all out war. I'm seriously considering it, however.

Hey, could you recommend some contact names over on the OOTP boards? If I could coordinate with them a bit, it might make things even easier.

He got some bad habits? Childhood pictures that he'd rather not have shown around? Is he on the high school field hockey team? Rents chick flicks without having a girlfriend? What is it?
