Any way to make this work with bbm2k7?......start in 2007?
Just download the csv version, and copy the new files into the lahman folder that is under the base Baseball Mogul directory.
If you start in 2007, which teams would players be on?
should be the team that their listed on in the database. The only problem with that is that there isn't an option to start in 2007. I guess we'll just have to wait for the Mogul 2008 beta to get that. Still, the database files are updated through 2006, so all the players and all the teams at the beginning of the 2006 season should be correct. I'm not sure exactly what's changed though.
you could start in 2006, then make a universe (.mog file) and have the start year start in 2007 :)
Not sure if this will work thou
I replaced the old files with the new ones and now my game is not working when it tries to load rookies.... :(
Are the old files just last year's version of the database? If not, can someone send me their lahman folder?
Yea, the old files are just last years version. Version 5.3
I had the same problem myself, but I redid it and it works. You need:
Allstar
AwardsPlayers
Batting
Fielding
FieldingOF
HallOfFame
Master
Pitching
Teams
In order to get the game to run. I assume that you need to <name>Post.csv files as well, for the game to import post season stats.
BTW, since this has obviously more interest in regards to Mogul than on it's own, I've moved it to the Baseball Mogul: General Discussions forum.
:)
Can someone put a Zip File on the new Database please!
It comes in a zip file. Go to their website, which is pointed out in the first post, and download the csv version of it.
I would assume it allows you to draft players who made their MLB debut in 2006.
I'll be able to tell you for certain in about... 30 minutes or so. Up to 1968 in one sim right now (with some "massaged" numbers. ;))
ohms is in the process...
taking a while because i'm running three sims at once. I'm getting there, though (1982 in the one farthest along).
Well, I took just those files and put them in the Baseball Mogul\Lahman folder, and it worked. I think that there's a new file in 5.4 version or something, that may be causing problems with Mogul. I guess... I'm not really sure though, since I got it to work.
As I recall no one has ever gotten 100% of the vote to be inducted into the hall of fame, yet many of the players in the database show that they got 100% of the vote.... at least when I view it thru BBM2007 hall of fame view anyway.
The database doesn't have actual vote totals, so I think what it does is for each Hall player, hold it's own "vote" and makes sure the botttom limit is 75%...*shrug*
Has anyone tried seeing if there is New Historical Rookies in Drafts?
Can Someone Write Step by Step Instructions to Put it in!
I Put The Files in lahmans43_CSV Folder and When I try to start a New Game This comes up and Freezes here
It Freezes Straight Away!
Actually, it has ballots and votes, but no percentages. I haven't actually checked that the percentages are correct though. What I do know is that noone has the same number of votes as there were ballots (and therefor there are no 100%'ers), so Wassit3 has a point.
these files are not supported with Bm2k7, and the reason why is because it will be in 2k8.
Sometime in February, we should beable to play around with the current rosters, lahman 2007 release (v2006)
Right, and I posted the instructions on how you can do so as well.
9.45, just like you. Just follow the instructions that I posted above.
PS: yes, it looks like all the rookies (who have played at least 1 ML game this season) are in the game with the 5.4 version of Lahman installed.
No, no special place. Just copy the files that I mentioned above to the Lahman folder inside your Baseball Mogul game directory. Don't worry about the Post files either, that won't make a difference.
does it have anything to do with VC entrants (is that even a word?)?
That IS a word. :p
Does this mean updating this .csv file will corrupt my current game (2028)?
No, it only affects new games. The database is built each time that you start a new game.
