so, he can put it on his hands, but it cant get on the ball :confused:

correct. he can apply some rosin to his hands from the rosin bad. he cannot then receive the ball and rub, or discolor the ball. with rosin or anything else, for that matter.

how would a pitcher go about applying rosin to one's hands and then not touch the ball the rest of the game?
