oh yeah. i guess it wouldn't. oh. huh. actually, that was another question i wanted to ask. if it really doesn't take stats into account, which makes sense from a programming point of view, then i'm amazed at the amount of times i see a lower rated player performing year in and year out better than a higher rated player. it seems to happen VERY often for pitchers and especially relievers. my 84 closer has done so so much better than the 89 i used to have and who was in his prime. and my defense hasn't really gotten any better. but i'll just accept what you guys are saying and believe that that kind of thing is just chance.
