Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
Mogul Purists might not like this idea, but I think it would be awesome if you could get the game developed for the Xbox 360. I love strategic sports simulations like OOTP and Mogul, but I do not purchase them as much becuase I use my 360 for most of my gaming, which has turned my computer system into basically a office machine. I think it would be great especially for the younger generation to be able to play Mogul and understand the business side of baseball, as well as learning about the history of the game. Clay, I don't know how easy it would be to develop it, but here is an article that describes how they are opening up the Xbox 360 for gamers to create their own games. It uses Windows XP, so you might be able to easily convert it. If you choose to, I would be in the market for buying it, and I know a lot of other gamers that would be as well. You might be able to also get approval from Microsoft to have it published to Xbox Live Arcade, and it could open up another profit area for you. Thanks! I'm hoping I will see a Xbox 360 copy in the future :) Here is a link to the programming article for the Xbox 360: http://editorials.teamxbox.com/xbox/...the-Gamers/p1/
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
Sure, why not. more sales for Mogul can only be a good thing.
The main problem with Console games is that the developers tend to "dumb down" the game play because a game is going to a console. XBox seems slightly less prone to this, however; and I for one have faith in Clay and Ian not to compromise their vision of the game just in the hope of some easy sales on a console.
It would require quite a bit of adjustment in terms of input though. Hopefully that work wouldn't hurt the PC version much.
Honestly, i'm hoping more for a PocketPC/WinCE version before a Console version. But thats because I don't own a Console system, so I don't exactly have an unbiased opinion.

Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
I don't support this idea. I think Mogul should go through at least a few more versions and gain more popularity. I don't exactly feel that these types of baseball sims will go mainstream. If it does get more popular then I do suggest it though. You'd need 3D graphics, even if they are primitive ala Wii Sports, to get sales from an American audience I think, though.

well, BM was on PS2, and the original Xbox, (MLB slugfest, Loaded) dont see why in the future it couldnt be on xbox360
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
Microsoft Baseball 2K1 was also on console I think. That had the BBM program in it.

It was only on the PC, and that is probably the best PC baseball game ever...
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
i posted about this somewhere else.... lets get this done!
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
I don't really support it.
For one, 2kSports has the exclusive MLB license on Xbox...

That license isn't all that exclusive. Console manufacturers can still make MLB games for their own systems.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
I don't think the license would be a problem, because Mogul 2007 doesn't have the official license for the players it just uses the database. I think it very much could be a hit, because with the Xbox Live system Mogul would have the possiblities of online leagues simply through Xbox Live, similar to mogul online. It would be awesome, I know a lot of gamers that have purchased baseball games to simulate most of the time anyways, as long as Mogul was priced reasonably it doesn't take 3d graphics, as look at games like Uno, that they have on Xbox Live, they are just fun to pick up and play for 15 minutes, and doesn't require you to spend an hour to play one game. I agree I don't want to see the computer version harmed, but I think if a conversion could be made, it would allow Mogul to expand.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
Keep in mind, that moving to 360 might not allow the use of the database...not sure, but just an educated guess.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
The main selling point of the 360 is its voluptuous graphics. Though buckets o' fun, this game ain't exactly pretty, so I don't think that there would be much of a point.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
I'm still wondering if it would be in any way possible to stuff bbm 2k7 under the hood of MSBB 2K1. Talk about infinite replay value!
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
My opinion is that it'd work better on the Wii. Replace the mouse with the Wiimote, add in the online play, use less powerful graphics, and cheaper development cost. With graphics less of a factor I think it'd work better and be cheaper for Clay and his staff.

Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
I long for the day sims make it to console. Sometimes it is just alot easier to sit on the couch and play than to sit at my desktop. Guess I really need to use video out to my tv and make use of this wireless keyboard that I have that is collecting dust.

I did that when all I had was a desktop PC and a mattress.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
The ideal set-up would be a La-Z-Boy™ ultra-plush recliner with a wireless keyboard/mouse you could place on a swing-arm desk. The PC would be wired to a 50" plasma screen TV. Next to the recliner is a mini-fridge and microwave, along with a big box of wet-wipes. And, don't forget to equip the Stadium Pal™ before getting settled.
Re: Xbox 360 Baseball Mogul Maybe?
Give me a bedpan and a SMOKIN maid/nurse and I'm all set. Get spunge baths every day between southpark and simming and i would officially be in heaven:cool:
