A "feature" of FB Mog is the forced "return to norm". If a player has a great season he will be permanently reduced in ability to ensure that he does not have two such seasons in a row. This, in fact, ensures that he never has two great seasons. So, if at mid-season you have a player who is having a great year, bench him for several of your remaining games. Check you schedule for weak opponents and bench him in those games (or bench him in games you have little chance of winning). I have...

It is unlikely to be a counter overflow. Profit can store and display numbers over 1 billion. I do see that your team has over $200 million in cash which can account for lower profits. The more cash on hand, the greater your team's expenses. Hence, lower profits. At the start of each year use your cash to trade for better players and to buy (or upgrade) draft picks.

How earnings are done is, for all practical purposes, broken. There will be years when your income is a billion $ and years when you lose $1 billion. It has nothing to do with your record, fan base or any other factor that I have been able to determine. There is a relationship to the amount of cash you start the year with but that does not account for those billion years. If you start the year with over $100 million in cash expect to lose money that year -- and they more you have the more you...

After a missed FG the ball is spotted on the 20 yard line if the attempt was made from within 20 yards of the goal line. If the attempt was beyond the 20 yard line (scrimmage line of 14 or more), the ball is spotted at the point of the kick. The spot point of a kick is almost always 7 yards behind the scrimmage line. So if the scrimmage line is the 14 yard line, the ball is spotted for the kick at the 21. If the kick is missed the other team takes over at the 21 - not the 20. If the...

Since there are changes between versions it is important to mention the version you are playing. I do not believe that there is a play clock. Only a time-remaining clock. I have run various versions of the game over many years and have never seen a menu item for a play clock. The play clock (or more accurately for the sim, the time taken for a play) is not random but generally based upon the type of play run. However, there are opportunities for improvement by the developer such as the...
