    After a missed FG the ball is spotted on the 20 yard line if the attempt was made from within 20 yards of the goal line. If the attempt was beyond the 20 yard line (scrimmage line of 14 or more), the ball is spotted at the point of the kick. The spot point of a kick is almost always 7 yards behind the scrimmage line.     Since there are changes between versions it is important to mention the version you are playing. I do not believe that there is a play clock. Only a time-remaining clock. I have run various versions of the game over many years and have never seen a menu item for a play clock. The play clock (or more accurately for the sim, the time taken for a play) is not random but generally based upon the type of play run.     In the current versions (19) v16.06), Predicted Stats and Ratings are related. If you modify the Predicted Stats and click Calculate Ratings, the Ratings will be changed to match the predicted ratings. The ratings do impact the simulation results but not as much as implied in other postings. Run the simulation and check out the top 10 in various categories. You will find multiple players rated in the 60s and 70s out-performing players rated over 85. In some categories over half the players...

    These issues also apply to Find Players, College Draft and Free Agents Edit Columns. 1. The player selected columns are not retained. Sometimes the columns presented appear to be randomly chosen. Clearing and then re-selecting the desired columns rapidly becomes tedious.     1. From one simulation: 4th quarter, 4 seconds left. Team that is trailing by 1 point is on the opposing Team's 4 yard line. Instead of kicking the winning FG, they attempt a pass which fails and lose the game. This also happens at the end of a half and in overtime! Also, in overtime a team will attempt a long FG prior to 4th down (instead of trying to gain yards and make it a shorter attempt). 2.
