View Full Version : Free agents go more quickly?

I've noticed in this version free agents get signed really quickly even if there are no rumors about a player (mostly within 1-2 wks.) In the last version of the game I played (BBM2003) the free agents would last much longer 2 monthes or more. Of course the top few were signed early, but for the rest you could wait around for their salary demands to drop. I used to really like to wait around and try to sign players for millions less than their original asking price. I didn't play BBM2004, so I don't know if this is new for 2005 or not. Anyone else see this?

I also noticed this. I dont really like it cause I cant sign any quality FA after the draft. So i have to resort to calling up a prospect or trades.

I have noticed the same problem....If you want a player you better sign them right away or they will not be around more than a few days....SO....I have resorted to building my teams around the draft.....Maybe this is something Clay can look into to correct in a future patch!

YEah, i've seen this too, but the best free agents go in 1 day or 2.. IT says they are close to signing a contract wih whoever, and the day after they are signed

I agree, but if you want to try to make salary demands go down, just use the option in League Editor to make salary demands go down.

I' don't really want to globally depress all salary demands, which I think is unrealistic after a certain point, I just want the free agency signings to be closer to reality (or more like it was in previous versions).
